Economic Resilience and Growth in 2024, Kino showcased a solid economic performance. The company recorded increment of total sales from 2023. Furthermore, net profit demonstrated valuable growth, compared to the previous year. This momentum had supported Kino’s social and environmental commitment, ensuring value distribution to its stakeholders and the wider community.
Environmental Stewardship: A Healthy Planet Focus Kino’s dedication to a “Healthy Planet” is clearly reflected in its environmental initiatives. The company achieved a positive 19% decrease in total energy consumption in 2024 compared to 2023. A key driver of this efficiency is the increased reliance on renewable energy, which now constitutes 19% of total energy demand, a 7% rise from 2023. This includes the installation of solar panels across several factories and the utilization of biomass. These efforts collectively led to a notable 20% reduction in total Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions in 2024.
In terms of waste management, Kino effectively reduced non-hazardous waste and plastic packaging weight in 2024. Water conservation efforts include establishing 120 infiltration wells and BioPore pits in various factories. Additionally, the company embraces a circular economy model by recycling production waste.
