With just one week remaining, the MMA Impact Vietnam 2024 event with the theme: Navigating Marketing: Leadership, Innovation, and Future Strategies, will officially take place on October 25th at JW Marriott Hotel & Suites Saigon. Expected to draw over 1,000 C-levels from the entire marketing ecosystem, one of the event’s main highlights is the SMARTIES Awards Vietnam 2024 —an annual, prestigious award within the marketing community.

 

MMA Impact Vietnam 2024—an annual event organized by MMA Global for the past 13 years—promises to once again ignite excitement among marketing elites through a series of in-depth and comprehensive discussions on the industry’s latest trends, with a special emphasis on the role of technology in shaping marketing and business in 2024.

 

Exploring the Future of Marketing at MMA Impact Vietnam 2024: AI, AR, and Breakthrough Strategies

Attracting widespread attention from industry professionals, MMA Impact Vietnam 2024 brings together top domestic and international experts who will share exclusive insights from MMA Global APAC. These distinguished experts hail from leading brands and companies in marketing, technology, and FMCG sectors. With approximately one-third of the speakers from the APAC region—including Indonesia, China, India, and Singapore—attendees will gain diverse perspectives from some of the most dynamic markets.

 

Recently, MMA Vietnam unveiled more prominent speakers, including Mrs. Le Huynh Phuong Thuc, Managing Director of Guardian Vietnam, and MR. Sudarshan Saha, Managing Director of Essence Mediacom, alongside representatives from top brands like Mr. Nguyen Khoa Hong Thanh, CMO of PNJ; Mrs. Lê Thanh Tú, CMO of Nestlé Waters, and Mrs. Andrea Barbi Actis, Marketing Director for APAC at Melia.

 

The event program includes multiple activities throughout the day. The morning sessions will focus on strategic topics, painting a comprehensive picture of brand building, understanding consumer psychology, and fostering effective connections. The four consecutive themes are: “The Digital Leadership Compass – Navigate Change with Data, Agility, and People,” “The Power of Branding in Retail Media Networks,” “Omnichannel Marketing: Seamlessly Connecting with Consumers,” and “Fireside Chat: AI in Marketing – Harnessing the Next Technological Shift for Strategic Advantage,” offering valuable knowledge and fresh inspiration for industry leaders.

 

Concluding the morning sessions will be a CMO workshop on “Experiential Marketing: Creating Immersive Consumer Journeys” exploring how brands are using experiential marketing to create memorable consumer interactions that drive loyalty and advocacy.

 

The afternoon will feature two breakout sessions, where participants can choose between two smaller rooms with different content themes. Room 1 focuses on marketing content and formats, discussing methods for brands to stand out in the highly competitive online space. Additionally, the session will address augmented reality (AR) technology and how it blends digital content with the real world to create unique interactive experiences. Room 2 will delve deeper into combining AI with marketing strategies and creative content, exploring how AI can fuel creativity in marketing campaigns. A special discussion on Hyperpersonalization will explore how businesses use machine learning and AI to create deep emotional connections and foster brand loyalty.

SMARTIES Award Vietnam 2024: Celebrating Creativity and Innovation in Marketing

Alongside the series of discussions shaping the future of marketing, MMA Impact Vietnam 2024 will also host the Gala night for the SMARTIES Awards Vietnam 2024 —a night to honor the most outstanding campaigns of the year. Organized annually by MMA Global in Vietnam, SMARTIES Awards Vietnam 2024 attracted nearly 500 submissions from various industries, with 144 entries making it to the shortlist across 25 categories, reflecting the industry’s diversity and innovation.

 

These categories are divided into seven main groups, including: Purpose Driven Marketing, Marketing Impact, Impact Media, Emerging Tech Marketing, E-commerce Marketing, Creative, and AI Marketing. Each group has between 3-9 individual categories with detailed judging criteria, ensuring the awards’ credibility and attracting participation from numerous major brands.

 

Some standout campaigns from Vietnam making the 2024 shortlist include:

  1. How ABBOTT Boosted Lifetime Value by 47% with Data – Abbott Vietnam/ Ensure Gold and Abbott Vietnam

   This campaign, in the Customer Journey Marketing – Lead Generation/CRM category under Marketing Impact, aimed to increase customer lifetime value through CRM technology. Abbott Vietnam tracked and analyzed customer journeys, developing personalized marketing programs that foster loyalty and drive new leads, leading to a 47% increase in lifetime value.

  1. LET AI TAKE YOU HOME THIS TẾT – Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam Beverage and Publicis Media Vietnam

   Under the AI-Powered Audience Engagement category in AI Marketing, this campaign created a unique, personalized experience for consumers during the Lunar New Year, increasing engagement and customer satisfaction through unforgettable experiences.

  1. The Internet Safety Education for Seniors – Google and Dentsu Creative

   In the Diversity & Inclusion category under Purpose Driven Marketing, this campaign focused on improving digital literacy for seniors, contributing to a more equal society by equipping older adults with the necessary skills for safe internet usage.

  1. SAMSUNG GALAXY Z5 – Join the Flip Side – Samsung Vietnam and Starcom Vietnam

   In the Omnichannel Marketing category under Impact Media, this campaign created a seamless brand experience across various media channels, driving positive customer experiences and boosting sales.
